FC Goa is an Indian professional football franchise based in Goa that competes in the Indian Super League. The club was launched in August, 2014. It represents Goa, the only state or union territory to declare football as its official sport.

To design the brand identity and communication language for the ISL team, FC Goa.

Our key objectives while desiging the logo were:

  • A strong identity that has recall value with the fans
  • An identity that represents the history and heritage of Goa
  • To resonate the core brand values: Strength, Boldness, Agility, Resilience

Keeping in mind how passionate Goans are about the city, we decided to infuse the spirit of Goa through its core values – Fun, Football, Flavour, Friendship and a Goan icon that would represent Strength and Stability. The logo was, thus, created with the face of the Gaur – the state animal representing strength, power, attack and defence. The colour pallette included orange and blue that represented the combination of the Sun and the Goan Coastline.

The project was strategised and executed by Dhriti Jain as a part of Skarma’s Project Management and Strategy Team. Skarma owns copyrights to the project and the same is listed post taking their permission.
